How to Enter Your Items in the Fair (Read through the Handbook for full understanding of Exhibitor, Entry Descriptions & Animal Requirement Information)

1. Decide on Open Class or Junior Class
Open Class - You are an adult or a youth who does NOT belong to any Sawyer County youth group
Junior Class - You belong to a Sawyer County 4-H club or a Sawyer County youth group under adult supervision with an education program approved by the local Fair, such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc.
If you are a youth in a Sawyer County 4-H Club, you must be enrolled in the specific 4-H project area in which you are entering. Any other exhibits can be entered in Open Class.
For safety reasons, youth must be in at least 3rd grade during the current year in order to exhibit animals in Departments 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108 and 111.
2. Choose correct department
Open Class departments are 001 - 028
Junior class departments are 101- 134
3. Choose correct Class
Many times the class is based upon experience level (amateur, professional, etc.) or breed (animals), Grade level (in Junior), or type of item.
4. Choose correct lot number
Important: You may only enter ONE item in each lot number. Any item entered in a previous Sawyer County Fair is not eligible for competition. All exhibits must be the result of the labor of the person exhibiting.
5. Fill out your entry form and submit
Submit entry forms here Online OR in person with your exhibitor fee to the Fair Office for both Open Class and Junior Class. Entry fee is the same regardless of how many items you enter. Youth may enter in both Open and Junior, but need to fill out separate entry forms and pay both entry fees. Anyone exhibiting an animal must also submit the Sawyer County Fair Cage & Pen Form or fill out the appropriate areas online while registering entries.
6. Bring your items to the fair
The actual items need to be brought to the Fairgrounds the first day of the fair (Thursday) between 11 AM – 4 PM, Junior Class face-to-face judging begins at 2 PM on Thursday. Exhibits “for sale” may be posted only after judging is completed in that department.Exhibits may not leave the fair until 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

*All animal Lots require ID(Tag or Name) used on tested/registered documents (coggins/registered/etc) or ID tag from weigh-ins for Market Class animals. All animal Lots besides Rabbits, Cats or Dogs, require a Premises ID to be registered as an entry for the Fair. (Premises ID Registration Here)*

Persons entering fairground facility assume all risks incidental to the event. Sawyer County Fair reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person violating any law, rule or policy. Patrons and bags are subject to search upon entry. Certain items may not be brought onto the premises including without limitation: alcohol, contraband, weapons, illegal drugs and controlled substances. The following items are also not permitted on the grounds: cans or glass bottles, skateboards, in-line skates, bicycles, and kites. Persons are subject to potentially having their image and/or likeness reproduced for promotional and/or publicity purposes in Fair or media photography, video, broadcasts and/or webcasts. Only service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed on the grounds without prior entry request and Fair Board approval. A reminder, smoking is not allowed in the barns.
