Welcome to the 2026 Lafayette County Fair. Fair entries are open. You can view the fair book on the fair website, www.lafayettecountyfair.org. Please make sure to read your section of the book so you don't miss any vital details.
Make sure you enter your YQCA Certification Number and Date in the space provided; Also be sure to enter your exhibitor T-shirt size
A couple things to remember as you make your entries:
1.) DO NOT HIT SUBMIT until you're 100% ready with ALL of your entries!! Once you hit the submit button, you will be locked out until someone from the fair staff approves your entry.
2.) Animal exhibitors - make sure to enter the market weight class, auction, lean gain and showmanship classes, if applicable. You MUST enter your correct RFID tag or your entry will be rejected. No exceptions.
3.) YQCA Certification is required for all animal exhibitors.
5). All Swine Exhibitors - please note that the Fair this year is a Non-Terminal Show. Please read the swine exhibitor section of the Fairbook for more details.
Wisconsin DATCP has lifted the testing requirements related to PRRS/PEDv. This means no more testing, import permits, quarantines, herd plans, etc. are required. Exhibitors will still need their intrastate swine certificate, but won’t need to show test results. As in the past, a CVI for swine will still be required.
6.) All Poultry Exhibitors - "The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has issued a temporary order suspending all poultry shows, exhibitions, swap meets, and movement of poultry to other events in 20 southern Wisconsin counties due to ongoing detections of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI). This suspension is in effect through May 10, 2026, and may be extended or expanded if additional cases are identified" . We are hopeful the DATCP order prohibiting poultry shows will be lifted before our fair. In light of any uncertainty, we encourage exhibitors to consider signing up for other areas they can showcase their poultry project. Two areas we suggest are Department 20 - Photography and Department 34 - Health, Social & Political Sciences
7.) Dog, Cat and Pet Exhibitors – The Dog, Cat and Pet show for 2026 has been cancelled.
8.) Clothing exhibitors - don't forget to enter for preview and construction.
9.) ALL EXHIBITORS - PRINT YOUR ENTRIES BEFORE SUBMITTING for your leaders/advisors to review and have on file, if your leader has requested it. Printing will help you remember what you entered as well.
