The 2023 National Land and Range Judging Contest is scheduled to be held May 2-4, 2023, and we look forward to hosting the contest. Headquarters for the 2023 contest will be the Canadian County Expo Center in El Reno. You can check out the Expo Center at: canadiancountyexpo.org.

  • First create a Fair Entry account using the coach/sponsors email
  • The TEAM NAME should be the exhibitor group name. Each exhibitors email should be the coach/sponsors email address who will be handling registration and invoicing
  • Place each student into their own judging group ex. 1-4, teammates are not allowed to judge together
  • If your club/group is not listed on the entry portal, select OTHER "my club is not listed" and you will be contacted by a contest administrator to create your club

PAYMENT: THE COST OF A TEAM OF 4 IS $250. If you bring a 5th member to "sub" in during the homesite or range contest for a member of an existing member then a $50 charge will be added to rotate that person in.

Ex.: Land Team: Jack, Jill, Tim & Tina ($250)

Homesite Team: Jack, Jill, Tim, & Albert ($50 for Albert to take Tina's spot)

Oklahoma State University to Provide Scholarship Opportunity

The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Department of Plant and Soil Science will offer a $1,500 scholarship to the top-scoring individual in the land judging contest and a $1,500 scholarship to the top-scoring individual in the homesite evaluation contest at the National Land Judging competition. The student can be from either the 4-H or FFA division. To be eligible, the individual must enroll at OSU as a Plant and Soil Science Major.

In addition, if the student has a high school GPA of 3.5 or better and ACT of at least 24, OSU will add an additional $1,500 to the scholarship (total of $3,000). OSU will commit that the scholarship is renewable for up to three more years contingent upon funding availability and a college GPA of 3.0 or better.
