Welcome to Fair Entry. This site is designed to make registering exhibits for the Polk County Fair easier than ever. If you have any questions at any point, please consult your fair book or contact a fair board member, FFA Advisor or the Extension Office at 515-957-5760. Entries are due July 1

**Late entries can be made for 2 business days following July 1. A $50.00 per day fee will be assessed for late entries.**

**All late entries have to be filled out in office. Late entries must be paid in cash or check.**


  • Entries can be paid via credit card (online only), cash, or check.
  • Payment of cash or check must be at the Polk County Extension Office by July 1, at 5 pm. Payments postmarked by July 1, but received after July 1, will not be accepted (unless the additional late fee is paid).
    • Make checks payable to Polk County 4-H & FFA Fair Association.
    • Late entries can made up to two days after July 1, but must be done in person at the Polk County Extension Office. Any participants with late entries will be charged an additional $50 per day.


  • Every youth who signs up to participate in the Polk County Fair will receive a free, white exhibitor t-shirt. T-shirts are sponsored by DeeZee Manufacturing.
  • Beginning June 3, shirts can be picked up after entries have been made and payment received.
  • T-shirts can be picked up at the following locations:
    • Polk County Extension Office located at 1625 Adventureland Drive, Suite A, Altoona, IA 50009
    • Booth set-up on July 16 5-8 pm
    • Judging day on July 17
  • First come, first serve on sizes. Selecting a size in Fair Entry does not guarantee this size will be available.

Entry Tags

  • Entry tags will be printed by the Extension Office with the specific information from Fair Entry.
  • Entry tags available for pick up at:
    • Polk County Extension Office beginning July 5 (Office hours are 8am-5pm)
    • Booth set up on July 16
    • Judging day on July 17
  • If you plan to make a changes to building exhibits after they have been entered, please let Marci, Madisen, or Megan know as soon as possible to ensure availability of updated entry tags.
