Welcome to the 2026 Northwest District Livestock Show (NDLS).

The NDLS Committee, comprised of Virginia Cooperative Extension Agents and dedicated volunteers, would like to thank you for your interest in this year’s event. The committee is hard at work to provide youth in the Northern District with an opportunity to exhibit their livestock in a positive youth development setting that is open to all, regardless of experience, and to provide those youth with a satisfying learning opportunity. Without exhibitors none of this would be possible!

The Northwest District Livestock Show is open to exhibitors from the following counties: Albemarle, Augusta, Bath, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Frederick, Greene, Highland, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Warren.

Species Included: Beef (Market/Prospect Steers, Breeding Heifers, Dairy Feeder Steers); Sheep (Market/Prospect Lambs, Breeding Ewes); Swine (Market/Prospect Hogs); Meat Goats (Market/Prospect Goats, Breeding Does). Dairy goats will be participating on a different date and location and will not be registering through FairEntry.

Further information about the event, including the proposed schedule of events and updated rules can be found HERE.

Please take the time to read the updated 2026 rules.
