Welcome to the Great Plains Spring Livestock Show

Prizes will be awarded for Grand and Reserve Grand in each class. Door Prizes will be given throughout the day for those who preregistered.

*When: May 27th and 28th 2022

*Where: John M. Lewis and Sons Livestock Show Barn in Larned Kansas

*Order of the Show for May 27th:

*5:00pm to 6:30pm check in/weigh in for Sheep, and Goats. Show begins at 7:00pm.

*Show Order: Sheep and Goats with a 15 minute break between species. Breeding, Showmanship then Market.

*Order of show for May 28th:

*7:30am to 9:00am check in/weigh in for Swine and Beef

*Show begins at 9:30am

*Show Order: Swine and Beef with a 15 minute break between species. Breeding, Showmanship then Market.

*Open to both, Breeding Animals and Market Animals

*Show Fee: Beef, Sheep, Goats, and Swine $20 per head if pre-registered. If not pre- registered, the fee will be $25 per head the day of the show.

*Market animals will be sorted into classes by weight; breeding animals will be split by breed and then possibly age if three or more are in the class.

*$$ prize for Grans and Reserve Showman for each age group/species.

*We want to give an opportunity for 4-H and FFA members who are enrolled in the Sheep, Goats, Swine and Beef projects to show their livestock before the fair.

*Registration: Due to the Pawnee County Extension Office, 715 Broadway, Room 6, Larned, KS 67550. by Monday, May 23rd, to allow time to set up the classes and to register for door prizes. Participants can pay on show day. If paying via check, please make checks out to the Pawnee County 4-H Council.
