Welcome to Meeker County 4-H's fair registration!

Registration for 2020 will open on June 22. At that time you will have access to your family's county fair registrations any time you want, using your 4HOnline username and password.


Important 2020 Reminders:

  • All projects for 2020 will be judged virtually
  • Project judging will take place the week of July 27 - August 2.
  • Please use the following guide for step-by-step instructions for registering in FairEntry: z.umn.edu/fairentryregistraitonguide.

General Projects:

  • Up to two (2) projects per class can be exhibited, unless otherwise noted.
  • Up to three (3) general projects can be selected to judge via a live Zoom call with a judge if you choose.
  • Photos of your projects will need to be uploaded and questions about your projects answered at the time of registration. Please reference the guide for registering for virtual events to help with photo & video uploads: z.umn.edu/fairentryvirtualguide.

Livestock Projects:

  • Up to two (2) projects per class can be exhibited, unless otherwise noted.
  • All showmanship classes will be judged via a Zoom call with the judge.
  • Results & reasons for placing each class will be done via a recorded Zoom call. These will be available to families following the judging process.
  • Following registration in FairEntry, photos and videos of your animal will need to be uploaded in SmugMug. Please use this guide to find the correct upload folder: z.umn.edu/livestockupload.
  • Specific information about how to photograph & video your animal can be found using the tip sheets under the animal projects section found here: z.umn.edu/virtualjudginglivestock.
  • For more information and rules for exhibiting livestock projects visit: z.umn.edu/meekerlivestockrules.

Cloverbud:

  • Exhibit Limits: Up to two (2) general, one (1) per livestock species, (1) livestock poster per species, one (1) Demonstration, one (1) Fashion Revue, one (1) Food Review, one (1) Performing Arts projects may be exhibited.
  • Up to three (3) general projects can be selected to judge via a live Zoom call with a judge if you choose.
  • All other general & livestock rules will apply.
  • The Cloverbud policy will still be enforced: z.umn.edu/4-hcloverbudfactsheet.

Pre-Fair Events:

  • Projects will be registered in FairEntry and videos for the projects will be uploaded in FlipGrid using this guide:z.umn.edu/meekerflipgridguide. All projects will be judged during the same timeframe as general and livestock projects this year.
  • Specific information about project suggestions or requirements can be found using the tip sheets under the exhibits and public presentations section found here:z.umn.edu/virtualjudging.

Additional Reminders:

  • Project age divisions are based on grade completed as of July 2020.
  • Each general exhibit or animal exhibit needs to be entered either online using FairEntry or by submitting a paper entry form to the Extension Office by July 15 to avoid late registration. Late registrations are still eligible for the showcase exhibition and judging, however, will result in no ribbon placing higher than a blue, no participation in the market livestock or dairy auctions, and projects are not eligible for state advancement.
