Welcome to the 2020 State Fair of Virginia Youth Livestock Shows. This year's shows will be held October 1-4, 2020 at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA.

As we continue to navigate the changes in development of, and guidelines for, the COVID-19 pandemic, we reserve the right to alter the schedule, update rules, or make other changes as needed to keep our exhibitors, their families, and our show staff healthy and well. Changes will be communicated in a timely manner if and as they are made.

Please make sure you review all the current RULES prior to entering the system.

Please make sure that you have the following information on hand prior to beginning the entry process:

State Fair Nomination Tag Numbers and Animal Specific Information will be required for:

  1. Beef Cattle (Market Steers, Market Heifers, and Commercial/Crossbred Heifers)
  2. ALL Swine - Registered or Commercial (Market Barrows, Market Gilts, Registered Market Hogs, and Registered Breeding Gilts
Registration numbers, tattoo information, and animals REGISTERED name or ID will be required for all Registered Heifers, Registered Breeding Does, Registered Ewes, and Registered Swine.

Entries for animals requiring nomination and DNA sample submission will NOT be approved until you have completed the online nomination process and mailed your DNA sample(s) and completed nomination forms to the State Youth Livestock Office.The deadline for completing all steps of the nomination process is August 1st at 5:00 pm.

Failure to provide any of the requested information will result in your entry being rejected and returned for completion.

***Credit Card payment is not available for the 2020 State Fair of Virginia. You must mail a check for entry payment and entries will not be considered final until payment is received.

Entry Fees are $12.00/animal/class, with the exception of Costume and Leadline which are $5.00/class.There are no entry fees for Showmanship, Skillathon, Premier Exhibitor, or Herdsmanship/Promotion, however, you need to enter those classes at this time.

Entry Fees are payable in the form of check made payable to: Virginia 4-H Foundation with State Fair Youth Livestock noted in the memo section. Payment should be postmarked no later than Saturday, August 15th and mailed to:

IMPORTANT LOG-IN INFORMATION: ALL 4-H youth must use the GREEN "Sign-In with 4HOnline" button to access the entry system. You will need your 4HOnline log-in credentials - if you do not know which email you used or are not familiar with 4HOnline, please contact your local 4-H Agent or Extension Office PRIOR to beginning this process. All youth entering as an FFA member will use the open Email/Password boxes and BLUE "Sign-In" button to access the entry system. Failure to follow these directions will result in your entries being rejected and the need to resubmit.
