10 O'Brien, Shannon 260 Made a styrofoam base and cut edges to make it look some what like a rock, homemade fondant from powdered sugar and gelatin from a recipe we found on the Internet. We added black food coloring and mixed it in but not completely. We used molds for the fossils, and coco for the dirty look and took a design tool to give it texture. The dirt we made from coco powder and brown sugar, and put it around the cake to hide the seam and the plate Blue Monroe Carleton Go-Getters

109 Nielsen, Joslynne 478 Pool Party Cookies Supplies: Sugar Cookie Dough Royal Icing Ziplock Bag Teddy Grahams AirHeads 1) I baked the sugar cookies by following the directions. But I kept them in the oven for a few extra minutes so they were extra crispy for decorating. 2) I made royal icing with egg whites and powdered sugar. My mom helped me mix it up. I set aside a little white icing and then made the rest a blue color like pool water. 3) I put the blue icing in a ziplock bag and my mom cut the corner to make a cookie decorating bag. 4) I cut the airhead candy into rectangles to make pool floats. 5) I used a tiny bit of white icing to attach the teddy grahams to the pool float candy. 6) I put a thin line of blue icing on each cookie and let set for a few minutes. 7) Then I added more blue icing in the middle of the cookie going back and forth to almost fill the cookie. Add a small spoonful of white icing. Use a toothpick to swirl the icing around. 8) While the icing was still wet I put the teddy graham on the cookie in the blue pool water icing. 109 Nielsen, Joslynne 479 I made some cupcakes by following the directions on the box. Then I let the cupcakes get cold. My grandma helped me make icing that was orange. I put a thin layer of glaze icing on the cupcake. I cut an orange starburst in half to make triangle ears. I put the ears at the top of the cupcake for the ears. Then I made eyes on two green M&Ms with a black food coloring pen. I put the eyes on and then added two orange marshmallows in the middle of the cupcake. I stuck three licorice string whiskers into each side and added a heart-shaped spinkle for a nose. Multi-color Monroe Legacy 4-H Club
